The Laundry Room

You see, when I learned about Norwex, my initial concern was in the laundry room. I wanted to find a laundry detergent that was not only less toxic to the environment but also worked. I also wanted to get rid of the dryer sheets. I had tried more environmentally friendly detergents before, but they didn’t do their primary job… get my clothes clean.

I was told to use 1 tsp per load of the Norwex detergent in my HE washing machine. My husband was VERY skeptical. Only a teaspoon? So was I, but I followed her instruction. The laundry looked great! So, I bought a bag of the Ultra Power Plus. Using 1 tsp per load, the bag lasted about 8 months. I was sold and have been using it ever since.

I also bought the Fluff and Tumble dryer balls. Dryer sheets place a coating your clean laundry and can significantly affect the effectiveness of microfiber over time. I had already purchased some microfiber before Norwex, and it felt more and more stiff, and the absorbency diminished. I didn’t want that to happen to my new Norwex microfiber. So, I stopped using dryer sheets. My clothes dry faster and they are soft coming out of the dryer. No need to add a chemical coating to my clothes. Now I am not exposed to whatever is on those dryer sheets, I protect my microfiber investment, I eliminated the ongoing expense of purchasing dryer sheets, and my clothes look great!

But it wasn’t until I joined Norwex that I truly started to understand the value Norwex offers. I have learned so much about the effects of harmful chemicals through data, research, and individual stories that are both motivational and inspirational. I have learned how dangerous the cleaning products we take for granted are, especially those sanitizing wipes. The more I learn, the more passionate I get about sharing this information with others so they can understand that no one is going to protect us and ensure that our homes are safe for ourselves, our family, and our pets. There is so much we have little control over in our external environment, but we can control what we use in our homes. Norwex has made that easier, safer, and better.

Norwex was founded in Norway 30 years ago with a powerful mission: Sharing a cleaner, safer way of living by reducing harmful chemicals in everyday lives. That is a mission I can get behind! I also have replaced many of my personal care products like skin care, toothpaste, shampoo, and Body and Face Clothes that clean with just water. Not only am I using safer and more sustainable products, but I also find the products work as good if not better than the chemical ones they replace.
